At this time, I

am in the thick of working on my ph.d in women’s studies at ubc with a specific focus on young women and challenging the backlash and stigmas associated with feminism.  i’d like to make a film on that topic as well and am courting a filmmaker. i have been writing poems for 12 years and braid in and out of enthusiasm for it.  i am 27, born and raised vancouverite, curly haired pop culture junkie. i love fashion, cds that i can listen to over and over right now it’s jenny lewis and the watson twins “rabbit proof fence”, and as the rain pounds down i am getting even further through six feet under and the l word season 3. i am  married to a lovely, funny, beautiful man who is much taller than me. felt it was time to have a blog.
